Computer Aided Design
A CAD drawing is the foundation on which all of the strands of Asset Management (AMP) are built. Accurate information on the number and sizes of spaces in a building also supports a range of other management processes.
A CAD drawing produced by Pentagon Support Services shows the overall building, “blocked” in accordance with DCSF Guidance It contains full details of the interior layout including room dimensions and room uses which, again, meet DCSF requirements. It can also incorporate other buildings related data, such as the location of fire safety equipment, a record of asbestos testing, etc, if an authority requires this.
All of the data contained on the various layers of the drawing will be attributed so the information can be imported into a computer software system.
We have extensive experience of producing CAD drawings, using Computer Aided Design software, to exacting specifications to the complete satisfaction of our clients.
AMP Condition Surveys can be linked to the rooms on a CAD drawing.
AMP Suitability Assessments can have existing numbers of spaces provided automatically from a CAD drawing.
Net Capacity Calculations can be based directly on a correctly attributed CAD drawing
School Budgets and cleaning schedules can be based on floor areas taken from a CAD drawing.
