Stock Condition Surveys
Planned maintenance or planning of future building projects must be informed by an accurate assessment of a building’s current condition. A Stock Condition Survey provides a baseline indication of the condition at the time of the survey, as well as costs for repair and maintenance.
A local authority requires accurate condition data which it can share with its schools and which can form the basis of building related spending decisions.
When planning for the “Building Schools for the Future” programme or the “Every Chid Matters” primary building initiative, the current condition and likely future maintenance costs of schools are essential considerations.
We undertake condition surveys in accordance with DCSF Gudelines in terms of elements and gradings.
Surveys are carried out down to individual room level and are directly related to the authority’s current CAD drawings.
We can advise on the preparation of element lists to ensure that individual building/mechanical/electrical elements are correctly identified.
An Executive Summary is provided identifying the main findings of the survey.
All stakeholders will have a full understanding of the current state of a building and its maintenance implications.
